Robbinsdale Beautification Committee

2006 was the first summer that we added the hanging baskets to West Broadway and it was a huge success. Thanks to all of the volunteers who helped water and care for the flowers during the hot summer months! Thanks again for your hard work! We are currently in the process of preparing for this summer (2007). The City of Robbinsdale will be handling the watering Monday through Friday this year while our group of volunteers will do weekends and holidays. Let us know if you want to help!

The goal of our committee is to make historic downtown Robbbinsdale bloom again through additonal plantings and continued care of the downtown area and beyond. This will be a long term effort dedicated to improving the overall aesthetics of our city. The members of the committee are made up of volunteer residents who have a keen interest in attracting more businesses and visitors to downtown Robbinsdale. We also function as a liasion between current Robbinsdale business owners and the City of Robbinsdale. We hope to instill a sense of civic pride among residents and business owners.

Residents and business owners can help by simply adopting the area around your business or home and keeping it free of litter and trash. We are fortunate to have a historic downtown, let's all pitch in and keep it beautiful! You can also help by donating your time or money to add more flowers to the downtown area. The lamp posts along West Broadway are perfect for hanging floral baskets, we hope to have baskets on each post in the coming years. This year we have raised enough money for 14 baskets, and will add more as more donations come in. If you cannot make a monetary committment, we will need volunteers to help water and care for the flowers!
